Maribor Adult Education Centre
was established in 1922. It provided more than 1000 various events on interest to the general public in the first two decades of its operation and significantly contributed to the cultural development of the second largest city in Slovenia.
Since then it has offered all kinds of educational programmes, formal and informal, to adults and children as well. Whether it was a driving school, primary school for adults, language courses for children and adults, vocational trainings and other, ADEC always promptly responded to the needs of the people and demands of the modern living.
Nowadays we’re focusing on multimedia education, providing trainings and support for disadvantaged people, helping adults further their formal and informal education, participating in national and international projects and continuously adding to our list of programs, trainings and activities – to better ourselves, to give more to the people who come through our doors and to follow our motto: KNOWLEDGE FOR ALL GENERATIONS.”
